Get ready to make a difference! Starting Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th, Fusion Church is stepping out to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Each day, we'll launch a new community service initiative designed to show God's love and create a local impact. We’re capping off the week with a celebration! Join us on Sunday, July 19th at Fusion Church for a family-friendly World Cup watch party that’s completely free and open to the entire community—bring your friends and neighbors!
Monday
Community Outreach: Water, Snacks & Encouragement
Serving commuters and community members at the Beacon and Poughkeepsie train stations through simple acts of kindness. Fusion Team-Mates will distribute free water and snacks, offer encouragement and prayer when welcomed, and share invitations to upcoming church and community events. Through meaningful connections and practical support, we aim to demonstrate Christ’s love, uplift people in their day, and strengthen relationships throughout the Hudson Valley.

Tuesday
Tropical Luau Dinner at River Haven
Fusion Church Team-Mates will host a special Tropical Luau Dinner for the youth of River Haven, preparing and serving a themed meal, decorating the space, and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Volunteers will spend time interacting with the youth through conversation, encouragement, and hospitality, helping make the evening both memorable and meaningful. More than providing a meal, this event is designed to help young people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Through acts of kindness and personal connection, we aim to bring hope, joy, and a tangible expression of God’s love to vulnerable youth in our community.
(River Haven is a youth shelter that serves children and teens between the ages of 12 and 18. The organization provides a safe place for young people who are in immediate need of emergency housing, safety, and support. River Haven offers 24/7 staffing, meals, counseling, and access to valuable resources to help meet the needs of each child.)

Habitat for Humanity Community Beautification Project
Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Fusion Church Team-Mates will serve residents in the Poughkeepsie area through yard cleanup, landscaping, debris removal, and basic outdoor property maintenance. By helping beautify homes and neighborhoods, volunteers provide practical support, restore dignity, and create safer, more welcoming environments. Through hands-on service, we demonstrate God’s love, strengthen our community, and bring hope and encouragement to families in need.

First Responders Appreciation Lunch
As part of Love Our Valley, Fusion Church Team-Mates will prepare, deliver, and serve lunch to local police officers, firefighters, and sheriff’s deputies at multiple locations throughout the Fishkill and Wappingers area. Volunteers will help distribute meals, express gratitude, engage in encouraging conversations, and offer prayer when welcomed. Through this simple act of hospitality, we aim to honor those who faithfully serve our communities, build meaningful relationships, and demonstrate the love of Christ in a practical and tangible way.

Hope on a Mission Outreach
Partnering with Hope on a Mission, Fusion Church Team-Mates will serve individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty in Poughkeepsie by helping distribute hot meals, clothing, hygiene supplies, and other essential resources. Volunteers will also offer encouragement, building relationships, and praying with individuals when welcomed. Barbers will also be available to provide free haircuts. Through practical service and compassionate outreach, we aim to demonstrate the love of Christ, meet tangible needs, and make a meaningful impact in our community.

Children’s Bible Fellowship Mission Workday
Fusion Church Team-Mates will help repair, maintain, and improve facilities that serve individuals with special needs and inner-city youth. Projects may include painting buildings, repairing roofs and siding, replacing deck supports and steps, moving furniture and appliances, completing landscaping and tree work, and other property maintenance needs. By serving hands-on, volunteers will help create safe, welcoming spaces where people can experience community, belonging, and the love of Christ. These improvements will support CBF’s ongoing mission to ensure every person is seen, valued, and encouraged as someone deeply loved by God.
(Many individuals in the special needs community have been forgotten, overlooked, or treated as though their lives do not matter. CBF exists to help each person understand their full value in Christ and recognize that they are created in God’s image with real purpose and meaning.)

Replace steps and deck supports for a second-floor apartment area
Paint cabin exteriors
Move furniture and appliances
Repair the roof over the walk-in refrigerator in the dining hall
Repair the roof on the main office building
Complete various tree work projects
Repair siding on the activity center

World Cup Watch Party
Fusion Church will host a family-friendly World Cup Watch Party where community members can gather to watch a live FIFA World Cup match, enjoy food, and connect with others in a welcoming atmosphere. Team-Mates will help host guests, provide hospitality, and build relationships with attendees. Guests who received an invitation through Love Our City outreach efforts will receive a complimentary meal. This event creates an opportunity for fellowship, community connection, and meaningful conversations while helping people experience the love of Christ through genuine hospitality and friendship.

In 2026, the HV Love Our Valley Campaign will launch the week of July 13th through July 19th across the Hudson Valley and run for 6 days of service and fun. All at no cost to the community. We need your help to make these free community events possible.
